CenterPlace Health Pleased to Announce Provider Washington Hill, M.D., FACOG Receives 2022 Distinguished Service Award from National Medical Association

Sarasota, Fla., September 1, 2022 – CenterPlace Health, a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) that provides high-quality, low-cost health care to those in and around Sarasota County, is pleased to announce that Washington Hill, M.D., FACOG has received the 2022 Distinguished Service Award from the National Medical Association (NMA) for exceptional work in medical service.

Hill, an Obstetrician and Gynecologist with CenterPlace Health, accepted the award on July 31 at the NMA’s Annual Convention and Scientific Assembly, the nation’s foremost forum on medical science and African American health. Through NMA’s 26 Scientific Specialty Sections, the Convention attracts the broadest spectrum of African American physicians, academicians and scientists in the country.

“We are honored, but certainly not surprised, that Dr. Hill received such a distinguished award,” said Lisa Gonzalez-Abello, Chief Medical Officer at CenterPlace Health. “He always has the patient at the forefront of everything he does, providing exceptional care and personalized service.”

Dr. Hill is currently the Senior OB, GYN, MFN at CenterPlace Health and Sarasota Memorial Hospital. He is also the founding Director of Maternal-Fetal Health Medicine at Sarasota Memorial Hospital and has received numerous awards for his work and expertise.
