CenterPlace Health Announces New Chief Operating Officer and Chief Strategy & Growth Officer

Sarasota, Florida – November 20, 2023

CenterPlace Health, a provider of primary care health services for children and adults and Sarasota County’s only Federally Qualified Health Center, welcomes a new Chief Operating Officer and Chief Strategy and Growth Officer.

Chief Operating Officer

Anna Ferguson is the Chief Operating Officer for CenterPlace Health. In this role, she is responsible for directing the business operations of seven clinics and programs, vaccine program, lab services, call center, and scheduling. She will take a lead role in building, implementing, and overseeing all the organization’s systems, processes, workflows, and procedures.

Ferguson most recently served as Chief Operations and Nursing Officer for Camillus Health Concern, Inc., a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) serving the most vulnerable in Miami-Dade County, including those experiencing homelessness. In her role at this FQHC, she oversaw the health center’s day-to-day operations at three sites and developed medical and quality strategies to serve high-risk, low-resource populations.

Prior to her eight years at Camillus Health Concern, Ms. Ferguson held several roles in Nursing Leadership and Informatics, where she played an integral role in transforming the facilities’ health care delivery system through the adoption of new technologies. Ferguson has an outstanding track record in designing, planning, and implementing large-scale strategies and integrated programs that drive long-term nursing success and sustainable revenue generation for healthcare centers. Her work includes transforming operations by identifying and resolving simple to complex issues, introducing best practices, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and policies. Her in-depth knowledge of nursing technology and clinical workflows will mitigate challenges and recognize opportunities for continuous growth.

Ferguson holds a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Grand Canyon University and a Master of Business Administration in Healthcare from Lynn University in Boca Raton.

Chief Strategy and Growth Officer for CenterPlace Health

Alicia Ottmann is the Chief Strategy and Growth Officer for CenterPlace Health. In this role, she is responsible for developing and implementing high-level initiatives while ensuring that scalable business, technology, and people structures allow agility and responsiveness to organizational and community needs. Ottmann has a decade of health care experience as a practicing physician assistant and leader of clinical operations and integrated care models.

Ottmann most recently served as the Executive Director for the Healthcare District of Palm Beach County’s 10 ambulatory clinics and pharmacies, with more than 400 total team members. In her role she oversaw governance and regulatory compliance, established, monitored, and implemented clinical and operational policies and procedures, and provided leadership and strategic direction for the Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) and Pharmacy divisions, ensuring the highest quality of care and patient experience.

Prior to her time in Florida, she held the roles of Director of Operations and Director of Advanced Practice for Neighborhood Outreach Access to Health (NOAH), an 8-clinic community health center network in Scottsdale, Arizona. She also has experience in value-based care as the Director of Practice Transformation at Innovation Care Partners, providing transformational leadership in the development, implementation and oversight of their system’s core population health management programs and practices.

Ottmann holds a Bachelor of Science in Biology from The College of William and Mary and a Master of Medical Science in Physician Assistant Studies from Midwestern University. She is bi-lingual in English and Spanish.
