CenterPlace Health Elects Roger Blanken and Sarah Cloud to Board of Directors to Advance Community Health Mission

CenterPlace Health, a leading provider of accessible, high-quality health care serving the greater Sarasota County community, is pleased to announce the election of Roger Blanken, CPA and Sarah Cloud, DNP, to its Board of Directors.

With Roger’s financial acumen and Sarah’s extensive experience in public health and community-based programs, we are well-positioned to further our mission of providing accessible, high-quality healthcare to the Sarasota community.”

Roger Blanken, CPA is a seasoned finance leader with 28 years of experience in strategic financial management. His expertise includes financial modeling, strategic planning, and cost management, all of which are essential for ensuring a non-profit organization’s financial health and stability.

In addition to his professional achievements, Roger is dedicated to community service. He has served as a board member for UPLIFT Florida Network, a nonprofit dedicated to improving the wellbeing of individuals and communities via a network of villages and organizations supporting them.

Roger holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting from the University of Notre Dame and is a Certified Public Accountant.

Sarah Cloud is an accomplished nursing professional whose distinguished career has touched on multiple areas, including clinical practice, community health, and nursing education, in addition to research and program management. Dr. Cloud’s distinguished career includes directing major federally funded initiatives in Sarasota County, most notably a five-year, $9 million SAMHSA grant to establish the Sarasota Partnership for Children’s Mental Health.

Dr. Cloud holds a Doctor of Nursing Practice from the University of Florida and is a board-certified Advanced Public Health Nurse and Health and Wellness Coach. With a clinical specialty in pediatric nursing, Dr. Cloud was previously the supervisor for the Children’s Health Center—the precursor to CenterPlace Health’s Women and Children’s Center here in Sarasota.

Dr. Cloud’s experience in community health, program management, and vulnerable population care aligns perfectly with the organization’s mission to provide efficient and effective delivery of quality, affordable health services to a diverse population in a compassionate and caring manner.
