She holds a Doctor of Nursing Practice from the University of Florida and is a board-certified Advanced Public Health Nurse and Health and Wellness Coach. Dr. Cloud’s distinguished career includes directing major federally funded initiatives in Sarasota County, most notably a five-year, $9 million SAMHSA grant to establish the Sarasota Partnership for Children’s Mental Health. Her grant management expertise includes securing a $800,000 state grant to establish and sustain the Healthy Families Sarasota program, as well as coordinating CDC-funded projects focused on preventing fetal alcohol syndrome. Currently serving as part-time faculty at Capella University, she brings extensive expertise in nursing education, having previously spent eleven years as a faculty member in the RN-BSN program at the State College of Florida. Her work spans multiple agencies and includes contributions to national surveillance systems, research coordination, and community health program development.

Dr. Cloud has recently been appointed to the Board of Directors at CenterPlace Health, where her experience in community health, program management, and vulnerable population care aligns perfectly with the organization’s mission to provide efficient and effective delivery of quality, affordable health services to a diverse population in a compassionate and caring manner. “I am honored to join the Board of Directors at CenterPlace Health,” says Dr. Cloud. “Having worked in Sarasota County’s health sector for over two decades, I have witnessed the critical role that accessible, quality healthcare plays in strengthening our community. I look forward to contributing to an organization that truly embodies the principle that quality healthcare should be available to all.”
